Finnish Railways (VR) said Tuesday it would continue to operate reduced regional services until at least midday Wednesday, citing difficult weather conditions.

The government-owned rolling stock operator added that long-distance trains would run normally.

All G and E trains, serving Helsinki-Saunakallio and Helsinki-Kauklahti, respectively, have been cancelled, with three A and M trains an hour between Helsinki and Leppävaara and Helsinki and Vantaankoski.

VR added that all I trains between Helsinki and Tikkurila between 3pm and 6pm and 6-8.30am had been cancelled.

K trains have been redesignated N, calling at all stations between Helsinki and Kerava, with Y trains stopping in Espoo and Kauklahti as well as the usual stops.
